16 Jul 2008 - Beaver - Moors Valley Trip

Beavers Have A Great Day At Moors Valley Country Park
Report by Nicole Jefferies (Beaver Leader)

On Saturday 5th July approximately 40 Beavers from 6 Colony's met at Hilsea lines and left at 9.30 am to make their way to Moors Valley, When we arrived each colony went their own ways, the 62nd followed the 23rd to the activity play area, where we stayed for a while then moved on to the tree trail. Along the way were different play areas which included slides and bridges to cross also tunnels to go through. We had our lunch in the snake pit!
After lunch we made our way to the main railway station where we met up with all the other colony's and we boarded our train to go around the park. The Beavers really enjoyed this and waved to everyone. Getting off the train the Beavers were met with radio controlled tank and lorry they had great fun watching these, we just had enough time to enjoy a ice cream and a visit to the shop before leaving for home tired and exhausted. We were very lucky with the weather as before we left it was raining but no rain came with us.

We would like to say, as our first trip with our Beavers at the 62nd, a big Thank You to Babs Miles who organised this, we will see you all next time.
